2 maj 2022 · Those cameras are 8MP on the 1/2.8" and will be basically blind at night. That sensor is good for a 2MP camera, but horrible for 8MP. Plus they are all fixed lens, so the objects would have to be within 10ish feet or so to be able to IDENTIFY.
Beware of Lorex - not worth the money. Since I don't have any social media to complain on and get the attention of customer service, I thought I'd air my grievances here. First, the good. The cameras are great quality. I bought a 4k, 8 camera system.
Any experience with this Lorex setup from Costco. I saw this kit while walking around Costco today. It seems like it checks most of my boxes, local storage, wired, 8-channel. I'm not sure that I would connect it to the internet for the smart phone features, or put it behind a PFSense VPN firewall.
What's your opinion on the Lorex 4k Poe 6 camera system at Costco - Currently on sale for $599. I've got a bit of a hodge podge setup at the moment. Some crappy wifi blink cameras that cost $100 per yr, and three 1080p hikvision poe cameras that are a good few yrs old..
