Unfortunately during a recent and significant winter snap in the south I lost all of my fish (and learned that I need more automation to prevent such an incident again).
12 cze 2016 · The general rule of thumb over here (in Aus), just to get the bare essentials is about $1000 per foot of tank. 1000G would be about 100" x 48" x 48" - so just over 8 foot. So a bare minimum would be $8000 here in Aus. Then the costs go up, because as Slug pointed out, you wouldn't skimp.
Use one XPort NO3 Brick for every 1,000 U.S. gallons ( 3,800 L ) of system capacity, more for heavy bio loads. Normally do not use more than one brick per 100 gallons of tank capacity. Bricks may be cut in half for smaller systems.
