10 kwi 2024 · Before doing ANYTHING, make a 0-byte file named MSJAVA.DLL, and copy it to your C:\Windows folder. Get the installation started by running Setup.exe (right-click, as administrator). Be SURE to click "custom" regarding what options to install.

22 kwi 2021 · VB6 runs fine on Windows 10 (64-bit Pro) here without any special installation wizard. There are one or two 'tricks' to allow it to install and instructions for those are here. I assume the wizard you are talking about applied those automatically. –
20 mar 2018 · Install the unicode libraries: from the custom main menu, select the text ‘Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0’, and the button ‘Change option’ on the right side will be set as active. Click on it and follow a similar process for ‘VC++ MFC and Template Libraries’ and ‘MS Foundation Class Libraries’.

25 sie 2017 · It's worth a read. And, you may need to know that the actual VB6.EXE executable is found in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98 folder. Some have also reported problems with a TypeLib named msdatsrc.tlb. On Windows 10 64-bit, this should be found in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.
