A contempt facial expression, also known as the “smirk,” is a nonverbal communication signal that conveys a sense of superiority or disdain towards someone or something. It is characterized by a slight raising of one corner of the mouth, often accompanied by an asymmetrical eyebrow raise and narrowed eyes.
