Program Description: CVST’s Basic Core Training for Victim Services Providers imparts new VSPs with the foundational knowledge and skills they need to provide direct services to victims. Attendees will also learn how to advocate for the rights of victims and collaborate across disciplines.
This course is an intensive, interactive learning experience for new victim service professionals to gain foundational skills such as strengths-based services, advocacy for adult survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and collaboration with allies.
SCCADVASA provides intensive, interactive in-person and online learning experiences on issues impacting victims/survivors and victim service provision as well as prevention services. We also participate in events throughout the year to advocate for and support survivors.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline Training. OVC – VAT Online Training (NACP requires a Certificate of Completion for the training in its entirety or a full transcript from OVC indicating successful completion of all modules – individual module certificates and/or badges will not be accepted.
Victim Service Providers (VSPs), as defined by §16-3-1420, must complete an approved 15-hour basic core training within one year of their date of employment in order to become a certified Victim Service Provider.
Central’s Official Certificate Program in Victim’s Advocacy provides professionals working in the field with the knowledge of the relevant theories and practices relating to victims and their experiences in the Criminal Justice System.
