If you encounter an error during the firmware update, recover the PM by taking the following steps and trying again: Remove all other USB devices (printers, scanners, hubs, and so on) while updating your PM. Try connecting your PM to a different USB port. Concept2 recommends plugging in directly to a USB port on your computer and not using a hub.
When you open ErgData and connect with your PM5, you'll be notified if your PM5 needs a firmware update. Tap on the PM5 ID, then tap on “More Info” for instructions on how to proceed with the wireless firmware update.
Resolution: Our ErgData app can update PM5 monitor firmware via Bluetooth. Get the latest ErgData version from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Note: PM5 monitors need a minimum firmware for wireless updates. The app won't update monitors with older firmware.

23 mar 2019 · I searched online and couldn't match any of the hard fault error codes on Concept 2's website with what I was seeing. The error reappears anytime I try to access the memory feature in the monitor. I upgraded to the latest firmware (166) and ran the repair feature on the memory, then tried to access the memory again and the error came up again.
When I opened the erg data app and connected to my Concept2, on the Home Screen of the app it had the option to ‘UPDATE.’ After pressing that option, the Erg proceeded to download the needed data from the app and then installed it.
