29 gru 2023 · This is the definitive guide to identify, diagnose, and fix any Harley automatic compression release problems. Ready for that release at last? Let's go!
Automatic Compression Release (ACR) valves reduce the strain of starting your high performance motor by reducing cylinder compression - automatically! The engine is easier to turn over resulting in less wear on your starter and battery. After start, the ACR valves close to restore full compression.
8 lis 2012 · I went with the ACR valve because I'm lazy and don't like the effect of a manual compression release venting fuel/air on the cylinder head. IMHO it looks bad. The ECM pulses the ACR valve to bleed off some of the cylinder pressure, not all.
28 kwi 2013 · If they the right compression releases for the build and they're in working order, they'll pop automatically when the engine has enough compression (basically when it does fire), and they shouldn't pop too early except in the rare case you almost fire off but don't.
17 cze 2008 · The Harley compression releases I've seen use a 10mm 12pt deep socket (a 6pt socket won't work). There's just enough room to slip into the head counterbore and over the compression release hex. The plastic cap on the release should pull off if it's too large a dia.
9 lip 2012 · When the releases are use it makes the bike so easy to start as they just spin freely until the spark ignites the fuel mixture. Your battery will last longer and so will the starter. All the new bikes come with ACR (auto compression release) so even the factory thinks it is a good idea.
