9 lut 2014 · I've got close to a dozen vintage comic racks, maybe more, of which half are spinners. One is a DELL Comics rack from the 50's. Picked up mine locally from Craiglist, for free! I did need to repair broken welds and repaint it but twas worth it! Next to it is my old Gibson EB-3 slothead bass. Nice rack man! mine could use a paint job.
I've recently realized that I want a spinner rack. My plan is to fill it with facsimiles, reprints, True Believers, etc for fun, easy reading of the classics. It seems this is a popular move around these parts. Even saw Liefeld has one in his office on the Cartoonist Kayfabe interview. My question - where do I find one? I found a couple on Amazon.
I've seen some suggestions to avoid this. Basically some clear plastic sheets on the bottom and front. That way the the books is spread across the face of the plastic and the wire rack isn't pressing into the book. Very cool find!
23 cze 2018 · In January, Diamond allowed retailers to order a comic spinner rack for $299 (and free shipping). That kind of display has nostalgic appeal for a lot of older readers who remember them displaying superhero titles at newsstands and other retailers, back when you didn’t have to go to a comic shop to keep up with four-color adventures.
My local comic shop had the same spinner rack (1987). We used to make fun of it because most of the patrons weren’t kids. Cool bombshells box!! Dang those spinner racks are so hard to come by! I want one desperately. Looks great with your setup.
