We accept first-year applications from students who are hoping to enroll full time at Columbia College or Columbia Engineering. Our admissions staff reviews each application holistically and with care in order to understand what each candidate might contribute to our undergraduate community .
Columbia-specific questions, also known as the writing supplement, tell the Committee on Admissions more about your academic, extracurricular and intellectual interests. These questions provide insight to your intellectual curiosity, habits of mind, love of learning and sense of self.
Columbia requires an official high school transcript from all high schools attended. Transcripts should be submitted by your high school counselor or school official as part of your National College Match application.

To apply to CC or SEAS, Columbia requires that high school students meet their high school’s graduation requirements. This holds up even if you are a junior (in which case you you must specify that they are applying for early admission in the additional information section of the application).
