16 cze 2014 · To me it seems to be a "noisy' engine even for a push rod motor. I've replaced the rocker shaft assemblies and push rods, allowed them to bed-in and readjusted the valve clearance to .014" and .016" per the manual. Oil pressure is good, around 60psi cold at idle, 51psi when hot.
5 maj 2014 · The 2.8 engines have a problem with valvetrain wear, especially in the rocker arm assemblies. Be very mindful of any changes to the clearances in the rockers. Also, because these are flat-tappet camshaft engines, we need to be very careful to use oil that has adequate amounts of ZDDP.
