The Bachelor of Arts in Design Studies is a non-studio based program that provides an interdisciplinary orientation to the history and theory of the design disciplines, material culture and design thinking.
To meet this need, the department offers an undergraduate minor in Art + Design, available to university students in majors offered outside of the College of Design. The minor in Art + Design consists of 15 total credit hours of study, of which 6 hours must be satisfied at the basic course level.
The Department of Media Arts, Design and Technology awards the Bachelor of Art and Design degree. The Bachelor of Art and Design degree is a broadly based, multidisciplinary undergraduate experience that fully utilizes a diverse faculty and bridges media arts, design, and technology.
