Download 3xp cj mod, paste files in mods, then join their server from main game lobby. I already tried downloading the mod and installing it manually, this problem happens with every mod including the cj one.
20 kwi 2012 · Here's my idea, list what mod and version that the server uses and manually download & install it. It may just be an issue with the auto-download of the files. Also, try creating a new profile in CoD4 and try those servers as it may be a profile issue (unlikely, but possible)
I have installed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on my Windows machine. The single player mode works perfectly, but when I try to run COD4 Multiplayer it crashes on startup. Windows then shows the following error message: iw3mp.exe has stopped working. What can I do to fix this?
4 wrz 2014 · If you download a mod which should just auto download for you as you join server and then the map a lot of times it will crash with a iw3mp. Just restart game and join same server. It may do this each time you download a new map or mod.
I'm sick and tired of this occurring, every single time I start up cod4 on pc from steam the resolution is messed up and when I try to fix it, the game crashes and the only way I can even do anything on my computer is to press the windows button and restart.
16 kwi 2009 · I have Vista 64 and the screen is freezing and the game crashes with 'Direct3d9::Present' Error. This can be because your directX installation is out of date. Goto the Microsoft Site and download / install the latest Directx End-User Runtime. Try the nVidia 162.50 drivers or higher. That fixed the problem for some people.

Another option is to restart the client, allow it to crash again, and then send us the new crash dump without taking any further steps. We can analyze the dump and provide you with the PID of the offending process. You can then use Task Manager to look up the process name by PID.
