Back in the day, Cobra made great radios, with the 2000 being the top dog. I contacted Cobra customer service suggesting they put out a radio with SSB. After all they did update the Cobra 29 to include FM. It would be nice to have another option in addition to President and Bearcat.
I’m seeing lots of mixed reviews about the 19 mini, I’m kinda kicking around picking one of the am/fm models up for the wife’s vehicle. I’m also seeing some good stuff about the president bill.

Perhaps the most interesting recent model was the Cobra 29 with Bluetooth, but the one thing that hadn’t changed with these radios for many years was the traditional styling.
For a high power radio in the $225-250 price range the Cobra 200 GTL DX looked like an excellent deal. And even though I had great reports with the radio when it was working, I’m sorry to say that I can’t recommend it at this time.
