22 lut 2017 · Atlanta, Georgia – Legendary Central State University football coach William "Billy" Joe will add another tremendous achievement to his long list of accolades when he enters the Black College Football Hall of Fame (BCFHOF) this weekend.
In addition, Joe has won five straight black college football national championships with Central State University (1986–1990) and one with Florida A&M (1998). In 2007, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach.
Billy Joe made the transition from a successful professional playing career to becoming one the most highly decorated black college football coaches in history. After two seasons as an assistant coach he got his first head coaching job at Cheyney State in 1972.
