Skills was about a ~3 day study & Written was ~1 hour study. Written : Saw youtube vids & other sites for practice questions --> They're all harder than the actual test & rather unnecessary. Most realistic questions can be found in the 'NNAAP-Written-Practice-Exam.pdf' that Credentia provides.
If they don't have or provide them, check YouTube for skills for your state. When I took the skills test, we randomly picked 5 skills out of the stack, so really and thoroughly learn every single one!
You’ll have five skills, one handwashing, one vital signs, and three other randomized skills. You’ll get a half an hour to complete your test. My advice is go on YouTube and search up the skills plus your state, and a bunch of tutorials will pop up that’ll help you ace your test.
Advice for skills: slow down & try to have fun. Record & listen to your skills steps so they become almost ingrained & easy to remember. Not all states have the exact same test. For skills I had: hand washing, BP, PPE, Dressing a pt w affected right arm, and PROM for leg and ankle.
I'm a nursing student and it wasn't required for me to take a CNA course, but instead go straight to the exam. What should I study? The exam is going to be on a computer. I am not sure if there are physical things I have to perform or not to receive my certification.
