10 gru 2011 · Just entered the club of electret ownership with an ATH-7 headphone and exciter set for $43US. I replaced the pads with cushy pleather ones from an XB300 clone. The bass quality did improve, but the headphones still struggle with any post 1990s synthetic sub-bass.

15 sie 2010 · I have a set of ATH-7s - they haven't been used much in the last 15 years. Still sound great but I was thinking of upgrading to a full electrostaic - possibly Stax. Anyone looking for these electrets?
These were full-on 50mm Over-ears that was almost as light as Koss' offerings. The soundstage was about above-average coming from a 6XX. It's really nice hearing barely a difference in tonality with the 3.5mm Cable or over BT.
