10 gru 2011 · Just entered the club of electret ownership with an ATH-7 headphone and exciter set for $43US. I replaced the pads with cushy pleather ones from an XB300 clone. The bass quality did improve, but the headphones still struggle with any post 1990s synthetic sub-bass.

1 sty 2007 · Did the ATH-7 come on the market earlier than the ATH-70 or was it the other way around? Would anyone know the dates they were on sale for? There seems to be conflicting information online.
Overall good sound. :) Build and Comfort: They feel fairly sturdy? Like, they're lightweight but they feel pretty good. They fit like an SHP9500. That they just sit on your head with enough clamp just to hold on. No furious headbanging though as they can Fall off.
13 wrz 2019 · Pros: High Resolution, High Detail, Source Revealing, Lightweight, Very good comfort. Cons: Bass texture a hair too smooth and rounded, would prefer harder edges and slam. I have kept this little closed gem from audio-tehnica around for many years. The MSR7B is a competent headphone in all aspects.
