Jamaica joins many other countries in the Americas with American Movil’s Claro mobile brand such as Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina.
Currently, Jamaica is served by two primary mobile network operators: Digicel Jamaica and Flow (by Cable & Wireless) . We are expecting great things and from what we can see in the latest news, its very promising. It also seems to have affright Bmobile in creating there 3G network by next month and Digicel to be giving away end less promotions. The war has began. 11 kwi 2011 · Digicel is a fresh, fast growing Caribbean telecom owned by Irish businessman Dennis O’Brien. Digicel is better know as the liberator in Jamaica where it introduced GSM to the country and relieved the incumbent Cable and Wireless of it’s number 1 position.
14 kwi 2012 · If you manage to somehow get the 3G Internet settings working on your 3G Mobile Phone using your Migrated CLARO Number, which is now on a Digicel SIM, the Prepaid Data Bundles above are the best way to go.
