Some civil service positions require an applicant to take an exam at a test center. Before scheduling an examination, you must first apply to a posting that requires a written exam. If you meet eligibility requirements, you will be sent an email notification regarding how to schedule the exam at a test center.
Once you’ve submitted your application to the in-person exam posting and have been deemed eligible, you will receive an email that provides instructions on how to schedule your exam. Information on scheduling an exam, test center hours of operation, and test center locations can be found at www.prometric.com/Pennsylvania .
Locate: Search the locations where your test is offered. Schedule: Choose a test, date, time and location. Confirm: Double-check your appointment details. Reschedule/Cancel: Change or cancel an existing test appointment. Then follow the on-screen prompts as you walk through the rest of the process.
If you do not have access to the internet, you can schedule your driver's test by calling 1-800-423-5542. Additionally, PennDOT has certified third-party businesses to administer the skills test for a market-driven fee.
