Seven Seas have been my go to lately! There is a lot more land than the name of the map makes me think. I tried fractal today and it had much very "thin" and long shapes. More than the one in these pictures.
15 gru 2023 · An easy diplomatic victory on this map. Founding a religion. Choose pagoda as evangelize belief. Spam cities, take monarchy, become suzerain of Valletta. Buy renaissance walls in each city. If you don't capture capitals and pollute the atmosphere, you'll get 60+ diplomatic favor per turn.
I tried it out with the English Aquitane, to check out her new bonuses and this map everyone's talking about. I got badly landlocked. The few port cities I managed to found were connected to small bodies of water with no egress to anywhere else and no opponent cities to attack.
I think highlands is best followed by Lakes and seven seas. sea maps have their place for fun games with certain civs, but I prefer large land based games with lots of production. Always play with New world age.
