POLICY. 1.1 The Mayor, all City of Windsor Councillors, Appointees and Employees, including Volunteers are required to maintain a high standard of ethics and avoid any conflicts of interest in the exercise of their duties.
Improving the quality of public administration and governance can be achieved by encouraging high standards of conduct on the part of all government officials. In particular, the public is entitled to expect the highest standards of conduct from the Members that it elects to local government.
This Code of Conduct applies to all members of Council (including the Mayor). This Code of Conduct also applies, subject to any necessary modification, to Council appointments to local boards as defined in section 1(1) of the Municipal Act, and to all other appointments to City committees, agencies, boards and commissions.
