Solid Waste Services. Residential Trash & Recycling. Garbage and Recycling Collection is provided by the contract services of Community Waste Disposal (CWD). CWD currently services the City of Melissa residential customers weekly Monday through Friday for both trash and recycling.

When do I set out my trash and recycling? All trash and recycling carts need to be out by 7:00 a.m. on your respective day of every week. In the event of a holiday, your trash will be picked up one day later. If you do not know your service day please check the collection map below.

To schedule your monthly collection: Call CWD at 972.392.9300, Option 2. CWD will mail you a collection kit. Assemble your HHW and used electronics according to the instructions provided. Place your HHW and used electronics at your doorstep by 7:00 am on your service day, where CWD will pick it up.
The City of Melissa and Community Waste Disposal (CWD) offers a free monthly pickup for all residential solid waste customers. Bulk waste will be collected once a month, beginning on the Friday that falls in the first full week of each month. No call is necessary!
