The Building & Development Services Department (BDS) guides community development, implements and ensures compliance with the City’s Zoning, Subdivision, Development, and Building regulations, as well as other applicable State and Local laws.
The Town of Lake Park accepts ELECTRONIC submittals. All applicants (owners, builders and contractors) are required to register through CAP, the Town's contracted building official and inspection company, at www.capfla.com. Once registered, permit applications (including all associated documents) must be uploaded through CAP.
Permits. Building permits must be obtained for all electrical, mechanical, structural, and plumbing repairs or replacement. New construction requires building permits. Plans involving exterior work must be approved by the appropriate neighborhood community association before submittal to the City.
The Community Development Department is responsible for planning, zoning, reviewing building plans, issuing building permits, building inspections, enforcing the Town Code and reviewing applications for occupational licenses.
