7 kwi 2023 · Overall, Citadelle Gin is a nice choice for a solid mixing Gin. The flavor is fresh, mellow, and unobtrusive, and it blends in nicely to most cocktails. However, as a consumer, I do feel there are plenty of spirits companies that I would rather support when faced with the option to purchase another bottle of Citadelle.

Citadelle Réserve is nicely designed to be sipped neat — it’s more warming and more a gentle whiskey/cognac-like than some others on the market. There’s very little sweetness coming from the wood and nary a trace of vanillin or caramel, standing in stark contrast to others in the aged gin space.
