16 lut 2023 · Cho Dan Bo and the first dan (The 1st Degree Black Belt) The Cho Dan Bo rank, the first level of black belt in the Tang Soo Do system, also represents mastery of the basic techniques and readiness to begin advanced training, as does the first Dan rank, the second level of black belt.
The 10"×12" ×1" boards are the standard size for all others. Note: when testing for ranks higher than Cho Dan, 10"×12" boards are required regardless of age. The typical Cho Dan test requires three breaks: 1) hand speed break, 2) single board spinning brea k, and 3) spinning back kick break.

my school is wt (in australia) and we have white, yellow 1/2/3, blue 1/2/3, red 1/2/3, cho dan bo (red with black stripe in the middle), then 1st dan/poom.
The Cho Dan Bo test, however, is a test of more than just book knowledge and physical prowess—it also tests your ability to demonstrate the seven tenets in practice. Do you show integrity, concentration, and perseverance in your performance? Have you shown respect, self-control, humility, and indomitable spirit in how you handled the test itself?
Dark Blue represents maturity, respect and honor. Much has already been achieved and the student is (almost) at the ultimate goal of Tang Soo Do. The power and techniques is improved significantly. The Dark Blue Belt is awarded to the Cho Dan Bo of candidate for the Black Belt.
