  6. The nim suffix in Korean means kinda “honourable”. So you add it to titles when referring to someone else of that title to show respect. I am a sabum, this is my friend John sabumnim. Cho dan bo as I understand it means “1st Dan provisional”, so “Dan bo nim” would mean “honourable provisional Dan holder”. Hope that helps.
