21 sty 2023 · We bought the D&L fixed rear sights for an S&W K-frame 66-8. We are highly satisfied with them: they are a sturdier and more practical substitute for the factory blade style. Several notes on installation: (1) the frame channel into which the 66-8’s factory sights must slide is slightly narrower than the D&L.
The latest design D&L fixed sight features a T slot hold down as an integral part of the sight in addition to three holding screws, making it by far the most durable sight on the market today, and well suited to all S&Ws, including the big magnums.
22 gru 2022 · There are a lot of options for the front sight on a Smith & Wesson K, L, N, or X frame revolver, especially if it’s a modern DX-style front sight. That’s because the factory S&W black ramp, left as it is, isn’t great for anything other than shooting at a piece of white paper.
The K-Frame could be had in snubnosed, service, or target barrel lengths, with fixed or adjustable sights, round- or square-butt grip frames, carbon or stainless steel, and in .22 LR and .32 S&W Long target shooting models.
15 maj 2020 · The K frame and the L frame are almost the same in size, weight and thickness in the important areas. The L frame made it to where the barrel would clear without notching. The notching was the issue with the K frames and has been corrected on the new classic Ks.
The Sight Pack base mounts into factory rear sight holes on current K, L, N and X-Frame S&W revolvers (older guns may need these drilled), has an RMR/SRO footprint and includes integral iron sights as part of its rugged single-piece construction.
1 paź 2020 · In my experience with the M&P, these fixed sight guns are almost always well-regulated for 158 grain .38 Special load at 850 fps. In either form, it went on to become the definitive law enforcement sidearm for most of the 20th century.
