1 mar 2021 · Since 1997, Save The Music has been one of the leading music charities for children. If you’re mostly familiar with our program history, a lot has changed over time. Most of our supporters are foundations and other philanthropic funders focused on the communities we serve.
We serve children who demonstrate a desire to learn music, as well as teachers who have students willing to learn. In 30 years , we’ve delivered more than 22,000 instruments to children in all 50 states and 35 countries .
We partner with public school districts to donate grants in the form of new musical instruments, technology, equipment, and resources for music teachers and school leaders. Grants provide opportunities for schools to jumpstart and support their music programs.
The best charities that advance music education are Save The Music Foundation and Music Will. Other charities, like Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and Education Through Music work to increase access to music literacy for underserved youth.
