The Vermont State Housing Authority’s offices in Montpelier, Middlebury, St. Albans, and White River Junction remain closed to outside visitors. Our staff is available to meet in person on a limited, by appointment only, status.
The mission of the Montpelier Housing Authority is to promote, provide and preserve safe, decent and affordable housing in ways that support families, neighborhoods, and economic self-sufficiency. The Housing Authority meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, 6:00 PM at 155 Main Street.

Established in 1968, VSHA has the distinction of being the first statewide housing authority in the nation. Throughout our history, we have aggressively and compassionately pursued opportunities to provide and make housing more accessible and affordable for Vermonters.
