This can make valve seats difficult to diagnose. The most accurate way to tell is to do a leakdown test to check cylinder compression on the cylinder misfiring.
3 cze 2015 · 08' TrailBlazer with 4.2ltr I6. On cold starts it will idle at 1000-1100 RPM and drop to 900 RPM in short order. After driving and coming up to operating temperature, when I come to a stop and the truck is at idle in gear it will be back to normal around 600 RPM.

10 maj 2020 · After the 3 minute run time the engine should be idling normal. If the engine idle speed has not been learned the vehicle will need to be driven at speeds above 70 km/h (44 mph) with several decelerations and extended idles.
No Codes. Having an issue with a rough idle condition, goes away at about 700 rpm. Accelerates fine and top end is fine. Just a pronounced misfire at about 500 rpm. Actions taken: Cleaned TB, run BG44k through tank. Cleaned Camshaft actuator solenoid.
