21 lis 2020 · ChessBase 16 – Full Review. On November 17th, 2020 ChessBase released the newest version of its popular database software. In this article, I conduct a ChessBase 16 review. I explain what’s new, what isn’t and whether it is worth buying.
It is a program that allows you to store games in databases, analyze, comment, and find games played by yourself or thousands of other chess players. The first version of Chessbase (Chessbase 1.0) was released back in 1987; the newest version is ChessBase 17.
ChessBase 17 is the leading software in the world of chess, and a huge number of professional players and club enthusiasts use it. It is our digital notebook, where we can organize all our chess-related work: openings, games databases, analyses, master games, training positions and much more.

You can create databases for specific players, like “All Najdorf games by Topalov between 2005-2010” or something like that. You can download pgn files by tournament. For example, you download all the games of the current Olympiad, and search it for all games in the Slav that White won.
25 wrz 2024 · Chessbase is the best chess database, no question! It has lots of useful features and a ton of games, far more than lichess. If you're new to Chessbase, there are many videos on YouTube that explain specific features.
