15 maj 2018 · But Chicago was the home of Chess Records, an American record company that specialized in blues and rhythm and blues and later expanded into soul music, gospel music, early rock 'n roll and even jazz and comedy recordings and forged a relationship with Sam Phillips, who created the Memphis sound.
The historic address, 2120 S. Michigan Ave, houses the only Blues Museum in Chicago, as well as the Blues Heaven Gallery where many photographers have displayed their work. We are open 12-4 Tuesday through Saturday, with tours every hour on the hour. The last tour begins at 3 PM.

17 lip 2017 · The Pavilion is located on the shore of Lake Michigan. There two granitic statues of a King & Queen with a opened roof structure. There is a low seating wall, with a number of chess boards . Not pieces, players must bring their own. Probably the Pavilion is made of granite. Not players during my visit.
Admission. Admission to the World Chess Hall of Fame is free. A suggested donation of $3 per person or $5 for family will support our exhibitions and education programs. Please call before your visit for more information on current exhibitions and admissions.
