While some chamber music competitions feature string quartets only, Chesapeake Music requires diversity in performance repertoire and musical instruments. Trio Colores, a percussion-only chamber ensemble based in Zurich, Switzerland, won both the Gold and Audience Choice awards, the latter adding $500 to their $10,000 grand prize.
We’re coming to you from Easton, Maryland for the final round of the Chesapeake Music Chamber Music Competition. The Zelter String Quartet has been awarded the Lerman Gold Prize at the competition. The Los Angeles-based quartet comprises violinists Kyle Gilner and Gallia Kastner , violist Nao Kubota , and cellist Allan Hon .

Our first international gold medal winners, David Trio from Italy, also won First Prize at the International Haydn Competition for Chamber Music in Vienna and First Prize at Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition.
