Main article: Treasure Trails/Guide/Cryptic clues. This section includes both simple and cryptic clues. Simple clues are clues containing a straightforward message such as "Search the boxes in a house in Lumbridge". Cryptic clues are similar to simple clues, but with increased difficulty.
A clue scroll (beginner) is a random drop from a large variety of lower-levelled monsters and certain skilling activities. It is the only clue type available in free-to-play and, if skilling, can be found when fishing (clue bottle), mining (clue geode), or woodcutting (clue nest).

1 lut 2020 · The table below lists the emote clues along with the specific locations and items needed for the clue. There is also a list of some of the ways to obtain the items. Of course, if you don't want to make the items yourself, you can always purchase them from other players.
There's a page for each type of clue(Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, Master) and one which contains a full list of all items/locations. Tickboxes with conditional formatting are in place too, ticking a box under "Have?" will change that row to Yellow, indicating you have the item, but are yet to install the box. Ticking a box under "Installed?"
If the map leads to a crate, it must be searched until the next clue or the reward is found. Maps are found in easy, medium, and hard clue scrolls. When completing a hard map clue there is a chance that a Saradomin wizard, or Zamorak wizard if in the Wilderness, will appear and attack the player.
