The beach is located across the street from the Chatham Lighthouse. We stopped by late in the day to see the lighthouse but ended up taking a walk on the beach. Pretty area to sit and watch the water. Small, free parking area doubles for beach and lighthouse viewing.

With its dangerous currents, major drop-offs from sand to sea, and summertime shark sightings - this is not the best swimming beach in town.
