30 lip 2021 · The Treasurer is responsible for depositing, investing, and disbursing all funds for Champaign County. The Collector is responsible for billing, collecting, investing, and distributing property taxes for all taxing bodies in Champaign County.
The Champaign County Collector mailed over 75,400 real estate tax bills and will collect over $403 million for 156 taxing districts including school districts, cities, villages and special service districts.
Office Hours. Monday - Friday: 8 AM to 4:30 PM (excluding holidays) Due Dates: 7 AM to 7 PM. Property Tax Payments. Payments can be made by mail or in person at the Brookens Center. Checks should be made payable to the Champaign County Collector. Include the payment coupon with the check.
Champaign County Treasurer's Office is now recognized as an electronic payee. For residents making payment through their bank's online bill payment service please use "County Collector" as the payee name and enter only your twelve digit PIN as your account number.
Pay at our office at the Brookens Center, 1776 E. Washington St., Urbana: 8 AM to 4:30 PM, M-F, except holidays. We extend our hours on due dates: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
