The centimeter scale is one of the metric measurement units. Each centimeter is divided up into 10 parts. If you wrote the measurement of this small tea cup it would be 8 and 8 tenths. As a fraction you would write it like this. As a decimal, you would write it like this. Notice that the second 8 is one place past the decimal point.
Enter the scale in the “Scale” field. Use the format 1:50, where 50 is the scale factor. Click the ‘Calculate’ button to get the scaled length in centimeters. How it calculates: The calculator uses the formula: Scaled Length = Original Length / Scale.
