The Game was born Jayceon Terrell Taylor [6] [7] on November 29, 1979, [8] in Compton, California, [9] to parents George Taylor [10] and Lynette Baker, [11] who both were members of the Crips street gang. He grew up in a primarily Crip-controlled neighborhood known as Santana Blocc, [9] although Taylor himself grew up to become a member of the Cedar Block Piru Bloods through his brother.
