Teach the Sixth Grade Reading Literature and Informational CCSS Standards with Actual Novels. I first wrote this blog post when I was heading into my second year of teaching fifth grade and so much has changed and been updated since then. I wanted to update to show you how this changed when I started teaching 6th grade reading and writing.
This section includes reading comprehension exercises dedicated to readers in grade 6. Generally, these are one-page passages with 7-10 multiple choice questions and a maximum Lexile score of 1110.
