CCS-approved hospitals and CCA-paneled providers are authorized to provide medical care for the CCS-eligible medical condition. CCS partners with CalOptima and Medi-Cal to determine medical eligibility and to case manage medical care for children with a CCS-eligible medical condition.
CCS is a statewide medical care coordination program that assists children under the age of 21 with a chronic, disabling, or life-threatening CCS-eligible medical condition(s), requiring specialty medical care. Physicians must be CCS-paneled to receive authorization to provide services.
