1 sty 2024 · A ways up Bourbon Street is the Cat's Meow. It's a karaoke bar with a host that sings and encourages the performers and gets people up on stage and dancing. Great to people-watch if you don't feel like performing yourself! The drinks here are great value and it was hands down the best Hurricane on Bourbon Street - get one and see for yourself!!
Cat's Meow is a blurry karaoke dive of which the experience morphs based on who you're with and what kind of drunk everyone is: optimal is fun, and sub-optimal is surly/aggressive. Even then, other patrons might be a crapshoot and it's more of a tourist spot than a local one.
