If you have Armour/Evasion (and lots of it) then level your CwDT until it triggers at 1/4 to 1/3 of your life (eg for 4k life you want your CwDT to trigger at approximately 1000 to 1300 damage taken - level 7 to level 11 CwDT).

If you can manually cast the skills it's not supported. In this case cwdt is level 1 and can only support allowed skills level 38 or below. You'll have to get a molten shell like level 10 max to be supported. Not sure if warcry skills can be supported but that also would have to be a lower level to work.
On a strict damage-in-per-damage-out basis, Cast when Damage Taken roughly triples in power between level 1 and level 20, depending on the skill used. Any flat added damage will affect this ratio—the more damage added, the less effective it is to level up the Cast when Damage Taken gem.
I have a 4L setup with Cast When Damage Taken - Immortal Call - Increased Duration -Wave Of Conviction with level 10, 13, 12 and 18. I have around 4.3k HP at the moment and it triggers every 1354 damage. Should I continue to level Cast tWhen Damage Taken, Immortal Call and Wave Of Conviction?
