RINGED TURTLE DOVE. SCIENTIFIC NAME: Streptopelia risoria. HOUSE NAME: "Charlie". HABITAT: Doves are adaptable to a wide variety of habitats including urban areas. This species is kept in captivity worldwide. CONSERVATION STATUS: Least Concern. FUN FACT: Doves are very fast fliers, often cruising at 40-50 mph.
