The mission of the Abrons Student Health Center (SHC) is to provide student-centered, affordable, quality health and preventive care to UNCW students. Our goal is to help students stay as healthy as possible so that they can fully engage in and out of the classroom.
CARE is the university resource for students, staff and faculty that have been impacted by interpersonal violence – whether that was sexual assault, relationship abuse, stalking, harassment or exploitation.
We are the students’ doctor’s office while they are at UNCW. In addition to routine and preventative care, students can also make an appointment for physicals, immunizations, allergy injections, lab work, men’s and women’s health visits, and sexual health/STI visits.
Many student service offices, including the Career Center, Transition Programs, the Upperman African American Cultural Center, Centro Hispano, the LGBTQIA Resource Office, the Asian Heritage Cultural Center, and the Campus Life Administrative Office are located in this facility.

Ohio Dominican University Health Services is located in Peace Hall through COPC's Care Forward Center. Health Services is open to all students requiring primary care, assessment, evaluation and treatment options.
