16 mar 2023 · Suspicion of CS should arise, first, in patients with prevalent sarcoidosis presenting with cardiac signs or symptoms (Table 1 and Table 2) 2, 4, 8, 22, 37–41 and, second, in all patients with initially unexplainable 2nd or 3rd degree AVB, sustained VAs, or heart failure.
18 kwi 2024 · The response to treatment is measured in 2 ways: (1) improvement or resolution of the clinical presentation of arrhythmias, heart block, or HF and (2) reduction in the degree of active granulomatous inflammation in the myocardium.
1 mar 2024 · Cardiac sarcoidosis may present with symptoms of heart failure, sudden cardiac death, ventricular arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, or atrioventricular (AV) block; the most common presentations are conduction system disorders and heart failure.
JCS 2016 guideline on diagnosis and treatment of cardiac sarcoidosis ... Nordenswan et al. evaluated poor prognosis in patients presenting with VT or AVB and that increased risk of sudden cardiac death during a 5-year follow ... as per a retrospective study of patients with biopsy-proven cardiac sarcoidosis (CS), symptoms, and Holter monitor data.
1 maj 2023 · Currently, the treatment involves corticosteroid-based, tiered immunosuppression to control myocardial inflammation with medical and device-based therapy for symptomatic atrioventricular block, ventricular tachyarrhythmias, and heart failure.
30 mar 2023 · The most common clinical signs for CS are high-grade atrioventricular block, ventricular arrhythmias, and heart failure. In pre-existing sarcoidosis, elevated troponins, B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), anti-heart, and anti-intercalated disk antibodies support CS diagnosis. Echo strain imaging and electrocardiography (ECG) may be normal in CS.
1 kwi 2024 · INTRODUCTION. The clinical presentation of cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) ranges from an incidentally discovered condition to heart failure (HF), brady- and tachyarrhythmias, and sudden cardiac death (SCD). The diagnosis of CS is challenging and is frequently missed or delayed. (See "Clinical manifestations and diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis".)
