18 kwi 2024 · Cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) is an infiltrative cardiomyopathy that results from granulomatous inflammation of the myocardium. Common presentations include high-grade conduction disease, ventricular arrhythmias (VAs), or left ventricular (LV) dysfunction. Accurate diagnosis is challenging because of the diverse and nonspecific presentations.
16 mar 2023 · In cardiac sarcoidosis (CS), inflammatory granulomas invade the heart leading to injury and fibrosis (yellow stars in the section of a sarcoidotic heart in the middle of the graph). CS is often subclinical, but, when clinically manifest, presents commonly with slow or fast arrhythmias or heart failure.
1 mar 2024 · Cardiac sarcoidosis may present with symptoms of heart failure, sudden cardiac death, ventricular arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, or atrioventricular (AV) block; the most common presentations are conduction system disorders and heart failure.
30 wrz 2020 · In this article current trends in the pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of cardiac sarcoidosis will be reviewed focusing on published research and latest guidelines. Lastly, a management algorithm is proposed.
Cardiac Sarcoidosis (CS) is a deadly consequence of systemic sarcoidosis that inflames all three layers of the heart, especially the myocardium—clinical signs of CS range from asymptomatic disease to abrupt cardiac death.
26 cze 2024 · Cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) is a form of inflammatory cardiomyopathy associated with significant clinical complications such as high-degree atrioventricular block, ventricular tachycardia, and heart failure as well as sudden cardiac death.
The diagnosis of cardiac involvement in sarcoidosis has important clinical and prognostic ramifications, including an increased risk of heart failure, ventricular arrhythmias (VAs) and sudden death. Optimal management strategies of patients with CS are evolving as the evidence base expands.
