10 maj 2020 · I think that if you try to use the lens hood for the 18-55mm on the 55-250mm, you will get poor resistance to flare. If you try to use the 55-250mm lens hood on the 18-55mm, you will get vignetting. Use the correct hood for each lens, but third party hoods will be a lot cheaper than those from Canon.
23 kwi 2016 · If you have the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II, then you want an ET-60 hood (or compatible replacement). For other lens models, look up the lens on Canon's web site and click the tab for accessories. From there you can see which lens hood is the lens needs.

15 lis 2024 · Looking for a lens hood for my EF-S 55-250 is lens. This is not the is II or the STM....the old outdated one. All suggestions I find online are for the STM or II lens.
