The EOS R, being the more advanced model, boasts the same 30.3MP sensor found inside the EOS 5D mark IV, whereas the EOS RP inherits its 26.2MP sensor from the EOS 6D mark II.

This difference might be important depending on your genre of photography, but, again, not all photographers will care.
28 lut 2019 · The newer EOS RP weighs less, costs less, and handles better for me. While the EOS R has higher frame rates, neither of these is fast enough for sports (a DSLR works much better), so again I'd go for the EOS RP unless something specifically about the EOS R is a must-have for you.
