To restore the chip setting to full it must be reset with an electronic chip resetter. It is possible to use the refilled tank on the printer even though the chip indicates empty. However, you must always ensure that the cartridge has ink in it while printing.

1 sty 2022 · Hopefully I have just as good luck with the CLI-42 clones. I'm curious as to what people on here that aren't going OEM are using. I've seen tutorials on how to refill the original Canon tanks, and I've seen several 3rd-party refillable ink cartridges, some with microchips and even chip resetters.
24 paź 2013 · Reset the chip perfectly. Removed factory fill sealing ball ( 20 seconds ). Topped off with Precision Colors Black ink for CLI-42 with blunt syringe. Plugged hole with provided plug and reinserted in to the printer. No purge cycle took place. The PRO-100 is VERY good about not going through the lengthy purge cycles like others, specially Epson!
