Tech 2 will not work without the CANdi module, so the message you're seeing is exactly what I'd expect without it. I'd be curious to see these notes; got a link? EDIT: There reported issues with clone Tech 2s, CANdi and v148. As your car needs CANdi, if it doesn't work *with* CANdi, the alternative is to downgrade the firmware to v143 or v136.
31 sty 2010 · Too many issues with the outdated TECH 2 and candi module. I just saw yesterday that the MDI 2 is coming out soon! It looks to be better in every way and can support wireless programming without a external router.
